Conway Twitty Bears His Heart And Soul In This Recording Of ‘Before The Next Teardrop Falls’

He added the song “Before The Next Teardrop Falls” to his 1975 album, The High Priest of Country Music, and not a soul was aware that it was not initially meant for Twitty.

“Before The Next Teardrop Falls” was at first released by Duane Dee in 1968, and climbed to #44 on the Billboard country chart. The song was performed by numerous musicians over the next couple of years, but it was most popularly covered by Freddy Fender. He had taken the song to #1 after releasing it 1975.

Twitty, however, brings excellence to this sentimental ballad about unrequited love. As soon as you hear his longing vocals, you might want to be that person who will help him get over his previous lover!
