Amazing! We’ve watched plenty of George Strait cover videos, but this one is definitely on both our favorite and repeat lists.
As soon as Young Brayden went up on the stage to face all of his elementary School classmates during the annual talent show, the audience showered him with a huge round of applause. They obviously knew that they were going to find themselves enjoying an awesome show.
Gathering all the confidence on this planet, Brayden grabbed the microphone and started singing George Strait’s “I Saw God Today.”
His friends and classmates were all captivated by his wonderful performance, and so are we!
Strait launched “I Saw God Today” as the first single from his 2008 album, Troubadour. The single first showed at No. 19 and ultimately turned out to be Strait’s 43rd Billboard No. 1.
Strait, and Brayden, sing about a man whose wife just got a baby. The man finds a flower growing from a crack in the sidewalk, a couple who are pregnant, and the splendid colors of the sunset. He then conveys this to his new bundle of joy, and tells the baby of all the instances he saw God on that eventful day – including when he saw it in his new baby’s eyes.
When Brayden ended his performance, his classmates exploded in applause and cheer. As he went through the crowd, he gave a couple of high fives to his friends.
Brayden’s performance was surely one that even The King of Country himself would be very proud of.
