Willie Nelson Supports Legalization Of Marijuana

Some Americans are displeased with President Barack Obama and his administration’s hypocritical views. Recently, celebs have been calling him out for this using their own particular set of skills.

Country star Merle Haggard and renowned artist Willie Nelson have recently collaborated to compose a song titled “It’s All Going To Pot,” which can be understood as a hint at where America is headed under Obama’s presidency.

Political issues aside, the song’s main message advocates for the legalization of marijuana. The Obama Administration has declared a solid position with regard to pot. It staunchly opposes the legalization of marijuana because, as the White House website claims, the Administration is of the view that “legalization would increase the availability and use of illicit drugs, and pose significant health and safety risks to all Americans, particularly young people.” Celebs like Haggard and Nelson find this particularly irksome, considering that Obama himself had been an infamous smoker growing up.

By the end of the song, Haggard and Nelson would like everyone to know that they’re simply fighting for American freedom.

“All the whiskey in Lynchburg, Tennessee just couldn’t hit the spot,” a part of the lyrics reads. “I’ve got a hundred dollar bill, friend keep your pills, ‘cause it’s all going to pot.”
